Copper-nickel round bars are made up of copper (Cu) and nickel (Ni) with typical grades being 90/10 (90% Cu, 10% Ni) and 70/30 (70% Cu, 30% Ni). The alloys sometimes contain a small percentage of iron (up to 2%) and manganese (up to 1%), added for strength and improvement in corrosion resistance. Excellent mechanical properties are characteristic of them, with tensile strength between 310-550 MPa, elongation up to 40%, and high toughness. They also have excellent corrosion resistance, especially in seawater and brine, with good anti-biofouling properties, which make them suitable for shipbuilding, offshore equipment, and heat exchangers. They are durable and highly formable.

Yes, copper-nickel round bars are customizable in terms of alloy composition, dimensions, mechanical properties, and surface finishes to meet specific application requirements across various industries.
To select the right copper-nickel round bars, consider the alloy composition (90/10 or 70/30), required corrosion resistance, mechanical properties, application environment (marine, industrial), and specific performance needs like strength or durability.
Yes, copper-nickel round bars are fully recyclable. Their composition allows them to be efficiently recycled without losing their properties, making them an environmentally sustainable choice for various applications.
Copper-nickel round bars are highly valued for their high strength and corrosion resistance, thus they have found applications in various industries and marine environments. Their resistance to saltwater corrosion and biofouling has made them an important component in shipbuilding in the piping of seawater, hydraulic systems, heat exchangers, and condensers. The bars are used extensively in offshore industries for oil and gas platforms, desalination plants, and marine hardware. Additionally, they are used in the generation of power for turbine condensers and cooling systems, also in the chemical and petrochemical industry for corrosion fluids handling, and the strength and aesthetics make it suitable for architectural applications.
