Marcus Metals is a metal producing and supplying company with head offices in Midland, UK. The company’s reputation for excellence places the company at the top regarding the provision of all forms of metals, copper, nickel, and alloys, among others. This enables the company to provide excellent alloy copper-nickel in the supply of hardwearing and corrosion-resistant material for industrial applications. Among their products, the copper-nickel square bars are the finest and strongest, reliable and versatile, and are quite applicable in marine, chemical, and aerospace industries, with Marcus Metals continuing to satisfy the increasing demands of its clients with precision engineering.
Copper-nickel square bars are available in two forms: 90% copper and 10% nickel (90/10), and 70% copper and 30% nickel (70/30). They both have a higher tensile strength and corrosion-resistance properties than other products. The 90/10 alloy is also resistant to seawater corrosion and has low biofouling, which is ideal for marine applications. The 70/30 alloy will provide greater tensile strengths and higher resistance to SCC. The mechanical properties of these bars are tensile strength in the range of 300 to 550 MPa, elongation up to 40%, and have a hardness between 150 and 200 HB. It is also a great product because of good machinability and good thermal conductivity, applicable in many industries.
